GOLDEN GLOBE RACE 2022
From the 6th of August until the 14th, the Gijón Marina will host the sailing yachts participating in the GOLDEN GLOBE RACE, which this year commemorates the 54th edition of this emblematic single-handed race.
Gijón has been the chosen city for the prologue of this exciting competition as a city and port with a great experience in hosting rallies and competitions of similar characteristics.
The 2022 Golden Globe Race is very simple: Depart from Les Sables-d’Olonne, France on September 4th, 2022 and sail solo, non-stop around the world, via the five Great Capes and return to Les Sables-d’Olonne.
