Puerto Deportivo Gijón has strengthened ties with Cruising Association members at the II Rally to Asturias, which its first stopover was at Puerto Deportivo Gijón.

The City Council of Gijón held a reception to the members of the CA. Likewise, the Port of Gijón celebrated an aperitif in which gifts were exchanged.
Cruising Association is a unique, mutually supportive association dedicated to those who cruise on small boats. Our information, collected and shared by members, is of unequaled quality, quantity, breadth and relevance.
CA members, backed up by a small team of dedicated staff, share experiences, knowledge, and fun to get the most out of cruising.
CA share online, at rallies, seminars and social events around the UK as well as worldwide. You can check the 20 sections for a group near you.
The Cruising Association has a long history – we go back more than 100 years – and we have many well-known sailors in our midst – Sir Robin Knox-Johnston is our patron.
There’s also Griff Rhys Jones, Keith Musto and Jeanne Socrates, to name just a few.
Rallies
Rallies and cruises in company, organised by sections, are a popular and fun way to explore new cruising areas or share favourite haunts. Members get together on the water – it can be anywhere from the Beaulieu River to the BVIs.
Their UK Sections organise local rallies while our Cruising Sections arrange rallies further afield.
Rallies are well researched and organised but allow flexibility in the event of weather or other upsets.
Berths are arranged in advance so no need to worry about space when you arrive.
The passages and harbours, social get-togethers, shoreside excursions and time to relax make our rallies hugely popular with members.
